Gorillaz OC Bio – Cade LeVander Niccals: Page 2
Relationships
Murdoc Niccals: Cade is close to her biological father, Murdoc Niccals, ever since he adopted her, unknowingly saving her from death. Despite his habits and behaviors in his personality, Cade still loves him. During Phase 2, she often called him "Uncle Murdoc", as she was slightly uncomfortable calling him "Dad" until the day Kong Studios was burned down, in which Murdoc finally embraces the title of "Dad", strengthening their bond.
Murdoc is very overprotective of Cade, even having his pet raven Cortez watch over her while he's busy. He will drop whatever he's doing if Cade is in danger of is need of comfort although she is diagnosed with "Asperger's Syndrome". Murdoc begins to slightly change in personality, as he vows to never become like his father towards Cade. He later becomes an advisor to his daughter towards the end of the Plastic Beach era.
Gorillaz: Although they are just bandmates to Murdoc, Cade sees her father's band as the family she never had. 2D is somewhat a big brother figure to Cade, often playing around with him or just hanging out. She is protective of 2D, often when her father hurts him for no complete reason. During Phase 3, Cade sometimes will sleep with him to comfort him from the whale.
Noodle becomes a big sister figure to Cade after Murdoc adopts her, usually mentoring her in martial arts and going clothes shopping, like 2D, Cade has a "Zen Bond" with Noodle and is extremely close to her as she matures. After the "El Manana" video, Cade falls into a catatonic depression, unable to handle the grief over Noodle's "death". During Phase 3, she teaches herself electric guitar to pay tribute to her "big sister". When Noodle arrives to the island, fully alive, Cade immediately embraces her, curing her of traumatic depression.
The cyborg replica of Noodle was hostile towards Cade in their first encounter until Murdoc informs the cyborg not to harm Cade at all costs. Despite this, Cade treats the cyborg like the real Noodle to cope with her traumatic depression. The cyborg simply follows Murdoc or Cade's orders, not responding to emotions. Like Murdoc, the cyborg protects Cade from danger (Often from pirates or the Boogeyman).
Russel is a father figure towards Cade at the beginning when Murdoc didn't know how to care for her, mentoring her in cooking and drums in his free time, Cade often sees him as both a brother/father figure during that time. Despite her necrophobia (Fear of death), she finds Russel's hobby of taxidermy bizarre yet interesting, often examining his projects. When Russel arrived on the island with the real Noodle, Cade saw that he grew into a giant swimming in polluted water, but simply calls it "Awesome" in her opinion. Cade discovers that he can change his size at will, which he used to perform at BOTC at normal size.
Personality: Cade is kindhearted with a dry wit to match, her past caused her to stubborn towards others until she trusts them fully. Inheriting some of Murdoc's behaviors, she is often seen as the opposite personality of her father. Despite being a practitioner of boxing and martial arts, Cade usually is a pacifist, only fighting in self defense.
She sometimes is naive when social due to her Asperger's Syndrome, and is very hypersensitive of her emotions and senses. Cade does mature into a young adult during Phase 3, being more confident but retains her sarcastic, sometimes bossy wit.
